Ingredients
Method
- Melt 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Add garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add ground chicken, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook 8-10 minutes, breaking up the meat, until no longer pink and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Stir in remaining 1 tbsp butter, soy sauce, and lemon juice. Cook 1 more minute until glossy.
- Top with red pepper flakes and parsley. Serve hot.
Break the ground chicken into small crumbles as it cooks so it browns evenly instead of steaming. Soy sauce is already salty, so taste before adding extra salt. Serve over rice, noodles, or in lettuce cups, and store leftovers in the fridge up to 4 days.
Notes
Food safety note: ground chicken should always be cooked to 165°F, checked with a thermometer inserted into the thickest clump of meat...
